I watched that vid back to back and although the intent is good and the person is alright, the vid is terrible, awful even. Some whole sentences were repeated three times, over and over, in this TikTok vertical format with captions and a direct stare into the camera from a close distance. It’s exhausting.
Due to the way he narrated things, I’m not sure what was the point he drew there. If it’s his 'It’s not 1931, it’s worse, welp, based, but based on what? Because he loosely referenced how some unions, then proffessional associations caved in, and from that point he repeated over and over the same ‘then it took months, but now it took hours’. And even dropped a wrench somewhere of ‘no, it’s different’ but proceded to continue. And by the 9 minute mark it sounds almost like a mantra, like a hypnosis practitioner putting your into an alternative state of mind, or some MK Ultra agent coding thought into your mind eased by several undisclosed substances.
Is it, like, a wake up call or something? What’s the meaning of it? Even if it was to inform out-of-the-loop people of what’s going on, it’s brought down by the baggage of never elaborated-on ideas repeated ad nauseum.
IMHO, this exact video has negative value, because it doesn’t provide any information, this person just reiterates his opinion and doesn’t explain what it’s based on, just points onto, I guess, your preexisting notion of historical parallelism, while not providing any substance, tapping into your feelings territory, trying to agitate you towards weakly explained idea. That’s more fitting to a populist speaking from the tribune than a welcome guide through the mess american politics became.
more people need to watch this.
TL;DW?
The administration made examples of a few. Without a well defined boundary in what is legal or not, every organization begins volunteering themselves to follow in line.
