To lose weight, you have to eat less, which goes against everything evolution selected you for; to go vegan, you have to start eating different things, which evolution did prepare you for. You only have to fight psychological addictions to meat and stuff, which is fairly easy if you actually look at how it is produced - I am now disgusted by it and so it takes 0 effort to stay away from it.

So the only option to lose weight forever is changing your diet to Whole food plant based. This is not me being smart, but science.
