This is not on Planned Parenthood. It sounds like they’re making the right decision, given the insane situation. The federal government is responsible for the problem.
As a former resident, fuck Wisconsin. I will block this community for my own sanity but I wanted to share my thoughts first. Good luck you guys.
BTW, this stems from federal law disallowing abortion services if your organization takes medicade funds. It has nothing to do with any changes in Wisconsin. In general, the state is on a better path, but the federal situation is wrecking everything.
Yea Evers has been good about making it clear they won’t prosecute for abortions. This was a (tough) choice by PP to stop abortions to continue to receive federal funding and provide other free services vs having federal funding cut off and being able to provide even less
