    falling back to the old technologies that the large tech organizations haven’t yet captured seems to be the only path forward; but it’s already a non-starter for a society that has grown dependent on captured platforms.

      Technology is accelerating, and hundreds of thousands of new engineers and programmers are starting each year.

      New platforms appear, are used by hundreds of thousands, employ hundreds, spawn new tech, that spawns a second generation of new things. All unknown by most.

      Things seem unchanging until they are not

        i don’t doubt that things will change; it just feels like it’s not going to happen until i’m worm food or too old to understand it.

          I feel similar, even as I’m working on part of the future as I see it. I will easily miss most of the changes
