Busosanseong Reveals First Baekje-Era Ice Storage UNESCO site discovery highlights Baekje Kingdoms royal infrastructure and ice preservation techniques

An ice storage facility, the first of its kind, has been discovered at Busosanseong Fortress in Buyeo, South Chungcheong Province—a UNESCO World Heritage site and the royal fortress of the Baekje Kingdom during the Sabi period (538–660).

The National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage in Buyeo announced on the 13th that the Baekje-era ice storage, a warehouse for storing ice, was uncovered during the 17th excavation survey of the Busosanseong area.
