It’s very difficult to convince my friends not to use AI tools (especially Copilot). I’ve tried to explain the reasons why, but to no avail; they refuse to listen.
When the CEO of M$ signed a contract with the government to use Azure. I’m sure M$ is also eyeing the use of Copilot in the government sector.
Interesting, we have had this rule for a long time. But, only one person is allowed to accompany the patient 24/7.
Well this could help the Sahel countries, as they do not have the funds to continue the project. Of course, we do not know for sure whether the Sahara Desert or the Arabian Desert will become greener in the long term.

With increasing anthropomorphization of “climate”, few know that just 5,000 years ago, the massive desert extending from North Africa, through the Middle East and across Asia to the Gobi Desert in China was lush and a highly hydrated landscape. Even fewer know that the average temperature of the Earth in this era was significantly warmer than today.

I was just curious to find out about this after watching the NHK program “Silk Road” and it turns out there is also a Great Green Wall project in China.
and in Figure 2, the Gobi Desert is located within the ITCZ.
I was not familiar with the technical term, but have heard the term ‘doldrums’. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intertropical_Convergence_Zone
Just like me, the first time I heard about the ITCZ was when the Sahara Desert was flooded last year. And that was because of the ITCZ shift.

However, we need further research.
Data suggest that the cause was a reduction in Panama wind-jet frequency, duration, and strength, possibly related to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) position during the 2024–2025 La Niña, though the mechanisms remain unclear. Nevertheless, the consequences are likely significant, including decreases in fisheries productivity and exacerbated thermal stress on corals that typically benefit from upwelling’s cooling.
It is likely due to climate change reducing the strength of the trade winds. This is indicative of much larger, global impacts from weakened trade winds.
Well, Panama is located within the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), and wind speeds within the ITCZ are relatively weak.
There are many factors involved here, one of them is that Panama is located within the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), and wind speeds within the ITCZ are relatively weak.
And I agree with what others have said, we don’t have enough data.

The biggest problem with ChatControl is that you are required to weaken the encryption of your chat application, or possibly give authorities access to scan all messages.
Actually, I would prefer it if they offered their subscription service through data plans or balance, just like WhatsApp did before Meta bought it.
it might work just don’t delete your github account, since they have another baclup.
Just keep it and do a few commits a year at least to make sure your code can’t be used.
Just accept that it’s bad and go somewhere else;
before leaving github, it is better for them to ensure that their code on github cannot be used to train AI.

Embrace, Extend, Extinguish
Microsoft’s Copilot push isn’t strategy, it’s the old embrace, extend, extinguish play dressed up in “AI” robes. GitHub was acquired to embrace developers. Copilot is the extend phase: saturating every workflow with unasked-for AI noise, from issues to pull requests to editors. The extinguish part is already visible - trust in GitHub is collapsing, and the very maintainers who underpin Microsoft’s ecosystem are moving to other platforms.
On earnings calls, this is presented as “momentum”. In reality, it’s forced adoption: a hostile takeover of developer experience. When customers explicitly ask for an off switch and leadership ignores them, that’s not innovation - it’s managerial negligence. Any competent operator knows that coercion isn’t growth, it’s decay.
GitHub’s competitive advantage was never a Copilot sidebar, it was trust and network effects. Those are finite assets, and they’re being burned for vanity metrics. The result? A platform that once symbolised collaboration now feels like adware, and developers - the same ones whose code powers Azure and every Microsoft AI demo - are signalling they’re done.
Shareholders should be asking a simple question: what is the long-term value of poisoning the well you drink from? Copilot may inflate short-term KPIs, but the cost is strategic: erosion of goodwill, flight of open-source projects, and reputational damage that no amount of AI rebranding can fix.
I agree with the first paragraph, this is just another M$ EEE. Utilizing source codes on github to train their AI to be smarter in coding. So they can promote vibe coding to people with a little or no experience in coding.
I agree, 2060 is obviously a long way off, while there are already many climate disasters ongoing and many of them are under-reported.
No, it depends on where you live. In my country, goolag asks for your phone number. You can’t use your other email address to create a goolag account.
Another excuses from goolag to create their walled garden on Android OS. That means it will be more difficult to install .apk from f-droid or from other sources.
We desperately need a real open source mobile OS.
It’s hard to tell, but this inevitably affects the combat readiness of South Korea’s armed forces and makes it more difficult to defend themselves.
I don’t see any issues with Aurora Store, as others have said, try with VPN. Or check their telegram group if there are any issues.
In South Korea all male citizens aged 18 to 35 are required to complete compulsory military service. Even K-Pop stars have served in the military.
Officially, the Korean War has not ended; there is only a ceasefire. They also have other potential enemies, such as China.
A few days ago, while on public transportation. I heard the driver and the passenger next to him complaining about the drainage work being done during the rainy season.
The funny thing is that they don’t realize that even though it rained heavily yesterday, the peak of the rainy season should occur around January to March. Without climate change, it should still be the dry season.
This makes me think that so many people are unaware of climate change.
