The “Anti Vax” crowd is an issue especially for children but the largest part of these measles are coming from the large number of Immigrants from India and Pakistan. When these immigrants are let into the country they are NOT required to have an updated MMR vaccine.
Immigrants coming to Canada are not strictly required by law to have the MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) vaccine to enter the country. Vaccinations are voluntary and not a condition of entry for immigration purposes.
Wonderful information. And if you posted the vaccination rates for India, you’d notice that the single LOWEST Indian province has a rate 10% higher than Alberta (79% vs. 69% in Alberta); and that the overall vaccination rate against Measles in India is 93.5% - significantly higher than Canada.

India also has a higher measles outbreak rate than Canada
