I heard before that instance bans make it so that the users can’t see my posts and comments made after the ban even on other instances communities. Is this true? Or was it just wild speculation from years ago when nobody knew how ~king crimson~ lemmy worked?
If you’ve been site banned from .ml, then .ml users will not be able to see you. There is also a way to site-ban a user in a way that they also won’t be able to see your content prior to the ban issuance as well. Called a siteban with purge
