Pretty sure humans rather than greed are the problem & ending humans would end all sustainability problems on the planet.
Societies that have tried to eliminate the profit motive/greed have spoiled the planet worse.
Consider the USSR: compared to the US, a better environmental record might be expected due to their command economy.
