I actually do one blackout day a year. Its fun, candles, simple meal, maybe make a fort, put down the phone to “save battery”.
I used to do it on big storm days basically in case the power actually went out I was ready but I no longer live somewhere that loses power so much. So now its just for fun and you can still eat your stuff in your fridge and turn on the lights at the end.
