Ah yes, of course the people who would have been allies with the Nazis up until the moment Hitler ate their face, the people who looked at Project 2025 and said “still better than Kamala though”, the people supporting extreme authoritarianism and proving horsehoe theory correct… those people want to throw the word “fascist” around 🤣

I hate it because all they achieved is making the word mean nothing. I everyone is calling the other fascist, then it is that much harder to call out actual fascists.

I don’t mean it’s hard to actually say it - but the word gets diluted. And when yo do call out a fascist, it may not carry the weught it should because it is used by tankies or actual fascists as a word for someone who disagrees with them.

            Yup.

            "Beware the name changers."1

            (…and the definition changers)

Beware the name changers. --Andy Crouch

1 Have heard that expression for decades… just now looked up who it’s attributed to… Andy Crouch, says the websearch’s LLM summary… and a quick glance at another LLM’s summary of his political philosophy does intrigue… E.g. “Crouch redefines power not as domination or control, but as the ability to create and introduce new cultural goods. He argues that power, when exercised properly, should be generative and life-giving, rather than oppressive or self-serving.” One to look into more.

Oh so they didn’t ally with Hitler, huh? 🤔 Dummy. Consider following your own advice.

        Welcome to the blocklist lol

EDIT: also like, rightfully so that they were denied. The allies can be proud that they told bullshitters responsible for the worst attrocities in all of human history to fuck off. Genuinely the correct decision.

No worries, I just instablock em. But yeah, it is more sad than anything when you think about the person behind the screen.

“ItS tHe AlLiEs FaUlT wE BuDdIeD uP wItH hItLeR” is pretty hilarious though
