With the ICE shootings happening in the US (including the tragic death of a lady in Minneapolis named Renee), do you think we need more self-defense (or community defense organizing) classes now more than ever (and fast)?
I got banned from posting on Lemmy.ml, so I post this to the Beehaw Socialism community.
Setting aside the cognitive dissonance of “everyone else is the problem” that generally erupts as main-character syndrome, there are communities such as Street Medics already on this. You don’t really want to spin something up in reaction.
I can think of one or two reasons why not. Inexperience would be an issue. Also the kind of people you would get would probably not be the kind you want.
What are the reasons you have in mind?
