    There is zero reason for any of them to lie. They can just not comment about things instead of making shit up.

      You misunderstand me. Everyone lies. If the law says you can’t lie to the constituents and then you say something like “I like your yellow shirt” but the opposition finds your “I hate yellow shirts” blog they now have an excuse to string you up.

      I’m not saying that politicians should lie just that a death penalty for lying is a real quick way to some power abuses since everyone lies.
