Ignoring the real problem of adding more AI to more devices, this has to be the dumbest move by Apple since the Sculley era. Might as well hand over the keys to the front door of One Apple Park Way to Google at this point. Doesn’t make sense for the business or from a technological standpoint.
Yeah, it seems like Cook has mostly been coasting on stuff Jobs started, but that’s all run out now, and most anything else he’s tried has failed. Apple desperately needs a new leader with vision and drive like Jobs had. He may have been a dick, but he was a damned effective dick.
