I think there’s a bug with your instance since your replies don’t appear in any threads unless viewed from your instance. Thankfully I can still see direct replies you make, though I don’t know if anyone else can see these.
Tankies are kept on a tight leash, they can’t make calls for death and murder and the usual edgy shit they larp about. All they can do is expose themselves that their viewpoints are nonsensical and hypocritical, and they know this, and that’s why none of them ever try to come into this community. Throughout the years of this community, we’ve only had a few of these tankies actually venture and try to explain themselves. Though none of them ever actually argue in favour of communism or why authoritarianism is so good, typically it’s just to spread falsehoods about one particular topic they take interest in, such as Palestine or Ukraine.
I’m not the biggest fan of being held to a higher standard either, and there have been many times when I stopped caring. But the reason is that if you act mature and patient, you show people visiting this community how unhinged tankies are, which in turn grows the community and encourages more people to switch to piefed and oppose Tankies. I know from being in their personal circles that they absolutely loathe how effective this community is in changing public perception on tankies and their spaces. It’s enlightening to hear the disparity that they’re immediately identified and shut down in different spaces they visit.
I agree with you that there’s no convincing them, you can’t reason someone out of a position they didn’t reason themselves into. Tankies don’t believe in their ideals because of theory, or logic or reason, but much like neo-nazis and other extremists – It’s emotion that fuels them. It’s rage at a system that hasn’t rewarded their narcissism, it’s an inability they may be wrong.
I’m sorry you’ve been a victim of them. I’ve been a victim of their efforts as well, they’ve tried to doxx me, post fake nudes, spread fake information, regularly lie, harass me and others and stalk me. They have entire chat rooms dedicated to me, so I know how you feel.
But yeah, it’s mainly for them to embarrass themselves and have regular people who may not know about Tankies realise how extremist and nonsensical these individuals are. But none of them will be brave enough to venture outside their rather fragile safe spaces.

I fully believe you can manage them but I also believe it’s quite unnecessary for the reasons I stated before.
