The western press being like “anti-corruption, that’s bad actually, it’s actually an evil Stalinist purge. Don’t believe your own lying eyes.”
The WSJ just hates it when political leaders purge the bureaucracy, unless they get an unelected billionaire to do it in a haphazard way that renders key functions broken. (I’d use an archive version but the site isn’t behaving)
Let me guess:
Xi’s enforcers = judges
Punish = find guilty in trial
Grafter = corrupt ass
Our honorable judges vs their evil enforcers.
Death to Amerikkka
he personally ‘punished’ a million people. it’s amazing how he had time to do literally anything else in the past year beyond punishing so many people.
not sure what’s considered punishment and really how much of anything he had to do with it
also, i’m curious how many people in the US were ‘punished’ last year? how many were killed in their ‘punishment’? https://www.prisonpolicy.org/reports/pie2025.html
Xi coming to my house in person and giving me a swirly. R-RUDE

The anti-China hysteria is really quite interesting once you get past the wall of reality separating leftists from the rest of humanity.
The clock is ticking on America, a corpse that has not realized it is dead yet.
Thank God the capitalists have not yet realized the value of investing in China.
Disciplining government officials is continued to be seen as horrors of Stalinism back then and now. Liberal sham elections and cabinet shuffles are the only ways to gain legitimacy (don’t laugh!).
this sucks actually 😏👉 🌭🛹
Punishing corrupt officials who are taking bribes from domestic and foreign corpos?! THAT’S EVIL!
Oh? The communist enforcers are going to punish me?

Haven’t they complained about rampant corruption in China before?
They ‘complain’ but really the west likes it because it makes China weaker, of course they’re gonna criticise any attempt to reduce it.

The fuck is “graft”?
Entire article is built to mislead about what these people are being punished (re: held accountable) for.
All the west needs to know (and nothing more) is that Xi is punishing people
Another word for misappropriation
graft /grăft/ noun
Deceitful or fraudulent use of one’s position, especially in public office, to obtain personal profits or advantages.
Money or advantage obtained by such means.
intransitive verb
To gain money or advantage through deceit or fraud.
The untold horror of punishing corruption

I saw graft and thought grift and somehow I am still very close
graft /ɡrɑːft/ noun 1. a shoot or twig inserted into a slit on the trunk or stem of a living plant, from which it receives sap.
Medicine a piece of living tissue that is transplanted surgically.
Evil Xi… coming for our Graft!
I think in Inferno it gets you thrown in a boiling pit of tar with demons throwing claws on chains at you if you try to breach the surface. I might be misremembering.
Let me guess, Xi would be anti Godrick?

But Xi would be so cool with a dragon arm
