    The WSJ just hates it when political leaders purge the bureaucracy, unless they get an unelected billionaire to do it in a haphazard way that renders key functions broken. (I’d use an archive version but the site isn’t behaving)

    The western press being like “anti-corruption, that’s bad actually, it’s actually an evil Stalinist purge. Don’t believe your own lying eyes.”

    Let me guess:

    Xi’s enforcers = judges

    Punish = find guilty in trial

    Grafter = corrupt ass

    he personally ‘punished’ a million people. it’s amazing how he had time to do literally anything else in the past year beyond punishing so many people.

    not sure what’s considered punishment and really how much of anything he had to do with it

    also, i’m curious how many people in the US were ‘punished’ last year? how many were killed in their ‘punishment’? https://www.prisonpolicy.org/reports/pie2025.html

    Disciplining government officials is continued to be seen as horrors of Stalinism back then and now. Liberal sham elections and cabinet shuffles are the only ways to gain legitimacy (don’t laugh!).

    The anti-China hysteria is really quite interesting once you get past the wall of reality separating leftists from the rest of humanity.

    The clock is ticking on America, a corpse that has not realized it is dead yet.

    Thank God the capitalists have not yet realized the value of investing in China.

      They ‘complain’ but really the west likes it because it makes China weaker, of course they’re gonna criticise any attempt to reduce it.

      Entire article is built to mislead about what these people are being punished (re: held accountable) for.

      All the west needs to know (and nothing more) is that Xi is punishing people
