Hear me out, Well everyone keeps going on about environment so I thought to myself which category of people are polluting the most? The answer is 9-5s and the Rich.
We can’t do anything about Rich polutting as they say, “Rules for thee and not for me” but office workers from Directors, managers to low level 9-5s can be made to follow the “rule”.
Govt. should make it mandatory for every 9-5 to keep chickens if they have a backyard as they are great companions but also they chowdown kitchen scraps like its from chinatown which helps as it won’t go to landfill anymore.
Then they also lay eggs which is beneficial for 9-5s as it helps them reduce their grocery bill which they complain about how it keeps rising . 9-5s can save upto $300/

I see where your heart is. One critique: we absolutely CAN do something about the rich polluting. Vote with your wallet. (well, and with your votes tbh) Divest from big tech that’s pushing massive AI data centres, you’ll be happier for it too. I guarantee most people are supporting the top 10 polluting corporations whether they realize it or not. Maybe someone will be kind enough to link the stats/list of corporations, but if I remember correctly its like 90% of pollution from a small group of mega-corps. No amount of individual reduction will make a meaningful difference. The meme about plastic recycling comes to mind… (Edit: found it).
Advocate for stricter environmental policies and punishments at the municipal and provincial/state level. Higher taxes on corps. This is where we can effect the most change. Stop consuming from the corps; backyard chickens are a fine starting point that reduces demand for eggschwitz eggs, an industry rife with animal abuse and disgusting inhumane conditions.
I hear you but people are too dumb and ignorant. Have you ever noticed plebs shitting on each other because they use android/iphone ? More than 90% people dont have critical long term thinking and common sense. Theres a reason corrupt pedophiles are presidents, coca cola still polluting , Facebook apple google still manipulating internet , milking money out of people by not giving them charger, removing SD card etc but they are still trillion $$ company. Theres a lot happening , you just need to open your eyes are look around.All I can say is the only way to keep these idiots in line is regulating the fuck outta them. Most are 9-5s and their purpose in life is 9-5 so they wouldn’t care too much as they plan to spend most of their life in the office and when they come back from office they start doom scrolling and fight how apple is better than google like these trillion dollar companies are paying them lol.
Ya I can sympathize with how you’re feeling defeated. We truly are in an idiocracy and its tough to keep motivated to try and improve the situation when we’re just repeatedly dragged down by others.
I used to repair phone lines, and had to work in a yard with chickens. They just came right up to me and clucked and picked at me while I worked… It was hilarious and awesome. That had to be fifteen years ago, and I still remember being like, “Okay guys, I gotta move now…”
