During COVID I once had a doctor tell me, when informed I was losing my job and that I couldn’t afford to see him without my insurance, that I should come in anyway and he would see me for free. A month later I came in for a routine visit, and they told me I owed $400. I got in touch with him and he said “Well obviously you have to pay when you go to see a doctor!”
