A laser can sit for a year and be ready to print like nothing happened.
My laser printer is older than a decade. It’s still using the sample partially filled toner cartridge it came with lmao. I used it once last year because I had to update my passport and some knob insisted something be printed out.
If you’re only gonna print a few pages a year, why use ink that dries?
Toner can just… Sit there.
