I personally doubt he’d do this. Considering Socrates refused to write because he hated how it couldn’t be interrogated, he’d probably hate the internet or some other prerequisite to being a clout chaser. There are plenty old men today who refuse to engage with the brainrot of social media, it’s just that terminally online people never meet them. Considering Socrates was exceptional for his time, he’d probably have an equally extreme stance today that would prevent most people from knowing about him. Thinking he in particular would be the clout chaser says more about the bubble the writer is trapped in than how the world actually works.
No, the clout chasing podcaster would be Plato, who would simultaneously be the only reason people knew about Socrates, and the embodiment of what all of his detractors accused Socrates of being. He’d position himself as the rebellious critic, but he’d still just be another content creator. Aristotle would then go on to better balance his internet usage while being much more aware of how to play the game.
