I don’t feel like explaining why, but, come on. You know.

I’m not sure how to phrase this in a way that will avoid an FE fan jumping down my throat, but I think there are definitely some conservative values on display in terms of (teacher/former teacher)/(student/former student) relationships on a mechanical level. Granted, I think there’s something to say for modern FE being conservative in general for how comically hard it has leaned into being waifu slop . . .

Every FE game except for Three Houses is conservative

      MAYBE Tellius gets a pass

Three Houses is only conservative insofar as it takes place in a medieval fantasy setting and therefore the in-universe politics reflect that

Fire Emblem Engage is an affront to God

Yeah, I mean I agree about the waifuslop thing but I don’t think that applies to 3H. It exists but isn’t nearly as emphasized as the 3DS games. It applies to Engage which is a game that sucks and I have a physical need to hate on it given any opportunity.

I don’t really see how student/teacher relationships are inherently conservative? Unless you mean the romantic ones which yeah aren’t really defensible, I mean I don’t see how you can say it’s not LITERALLY grooming if you S rank anyone other than the other faculty
