Implications of all the available evidence Cannabinoids are increasingly being authorised for the treatment of mental disorders and SUDs, yet our review shows little evidence of efficacy. There is a substantial gap between clinical use and available evidence. It is concerning that the use of these treatments could delay or replace the use of more effective therapies. There is a crucial need for improved study design that includes larger and more representative participant samples.

    ???

    all of this really 🤔

I mean, looking at the different reactions by people in this thread, it seems like there are a lot of therapy and medication skeptics (who i’m sure have many valid and understandable reasons for their skepticism) who use cannabis as their preferred treatment for mental health problems shrug-outta-hecks

I think what trips me up more is the wording of it being a concern to them, in the context of it being a perscription in a medical practice, but not in a recreational or self medication sense. My experience is that doctors wag their finger at you for partaking in the devil’s lettuce, so I guess I just find it hard to imagine a doc who would only perscribe their patient ouid.

i have a cbd beverage like once a month and i would love for the weed to do way more for me or for therapy to not be more harm than good, or for a pharmaceutical product that helps to exist.

depression caused by social and physical conditions isn’t a mental problem, it’s an everything else problem and when none of this shit works for people it’s because there’s no way for therapy or drugs to give me a positive reason to get out of bed.
