All large scale projects in Europe, whether they happen on national or EU level, have this sort of corruption happening. However, presence of corruption does not mean the project itself is not useful or shouldn’t be done. The only reason people are freaking out about it is because this project happens to be done with Russia. Finally, screeching whataboutism is a way to say you lack consistent moral standards.
