“AI Hacking” means fuck all when the NHS is cobbled together with Windows 7, 2-billlion-row Excel spreadsheets, and an American data-hoarding conglomerate run by a neo Nazi.

If the UK was in any way serious about health reform, they’d shut the whole IT infrastructure down and the middle management class with it. They’d send armies of annoying nerds to install their particular fucked up flavour of Linux onto every digital device they can find. That would be more efficient and secure than what we have today.

Pardon me? Is this about Epic? Because if so I want to know more and add it my many grievances.

I think they mean Palantir, Epic’s corporate culture is classic libbed-up tech company, i.e. work you to the bone, cultivating burnout on purpose so they can churn thru new hires, and if you wash out they didn’t want you anyway, but queer-tolerant if not accepting, and your account name can optionally display pronouns.

interesting model, but i don’t know how i feel about putting health care systems out in the open for everyone to audit.

Surely that helps close dumb small mistakes, but that gives an insane edge for those with unsavory morals to worm their way in.

anyway it’s dumb to reverse course now if you’re going to continue to operate the software because there are probably many forks out there which will still give all the information about it to anyone who cares.

Security through obfuscation is a misnomer. This feels like just a sly attempt to reduce transparency in the digital bureaucracy cycle under the guise of “keeping up with AI”

You’re right in that its already too late at this point for whatever live systems are out there. Maybe they wanted to hide the fact that they want to vibe code everything to cut even more costs and gut NHS even further.
