I hope the UK will increase the fight against modern slavery along with other countries. Sadly, forced labour is still some sort of ‘state policy’ in many countries, particularly in the US with its prison labour system, or in China with the exploitation of Uyghurs and other minorities. What we also need is supply chain transparency imo, something that the Chinese government has been heavily opposing in recent years.
