        They dug in their control last week when the supreme Court allowed the Republicans to rig the next election in their favor as well as Reform takinf yesterday’s election; so it looks like they’ll have control until the midterm election 2030 at the least.

          They’ll continue to become more and more unpopular, though. Winning elections isn’t always enough to remain in power, they still need legitimacy. If they keep making things worse and rig all the elections, people will turn to other means.

            I believe that the intention was to buy time for Gaza/Lebanon and outlast Iran.

            Now Israel will have diplomatic cover for their crimes until 2030 at the very least and they’ll also end up w access to resources that the United States will become dependent on in the future.

              This assumes that they can outlast Iran.

              They can’t. Iran can maintain control of the Strait longer than Western economies can survive high energy prices.
