Never played it, but is that the game they had to nerf communism because it was too op and people complained about it?
That’s Victoria 3, which is made by the same studio. The main difference is that Vic 3 is set in 1800s earth, stellaris is in space.
Isn’t Vic3 basically a historical materialism simulator, and the chuds were mad that Communism was OP? If I recall, they wanted it nerfed, but that didn’t really happen.
Yeah p much. Turns out that if you make a pretty realistic model of mass human behavior and political economy, communism is a reliably good thing to do.
Paradox games has a huge CHUD audience, so I’d be very surprised if they actually told them “no”. They’re the reason that the Nazis in their WW2 game Hearts of Iron are absurdly overpowered compared to real life, because the Fash kept whining that the Soviets would always beat them.
