To be fair to the referee, Rico took over a dozen punches to the face in a row before the stoppage, and that was after the ref had already given him 30 seconds to recover from his previous knockdown.
Looked fully recovered to me and he blocked pretty much all those shots, I don’t know who would win but it was a bad stoppage and the ref should really be investigated imo.
Usyk was robbed of a potential Ko and Rico was robbed of a chance to get through the next round both of those outcomes looked likely.
