Many such cases. I actually think it’s kind of bad to set the expectation that something is a dark comedy. Better to just let the movie stand on it’s own without genre expectations. There’s a tightrope that dark comedies have to walk - if it doesn’t turn off at least a few viewers, then it is simply a comedy. But at some point, barely anyone is laughing. And that doesn’t necessarily make the movie bad, but it can fuck with your expectations.
