Tbf they are in the same category, just different size. Ukrainians aren’t the first victims of russian empire, they are the first who fight back with a decent success. Many others are russified already - their history and identity erased, yet they are still second class citizen cause they don’t have “slavic” facial features.
But my original point stands - Ireland not only selling alumina to russia but russians owning a whole whooping plant in Ireland is literally worse.

All of Ukraine would be in russian occupation zone if not for relentless resistance since 2014.
Russia did plan to do just that. Everyone in the West was okay with that. Ukrainians were the only ones that weren’t okay with that.
