Can you install some other Linux distro on it?
Since its an arms based tablet It should be able to run something like postmarket os but since its not officially supported maybe lacking some features
Yeah, but with fex coming along, no need to stick with Android just because of ARM. I’d rather just be done with Google.

? Hadn’t heard of that. Thanks.
Oh thats really cool I kinda what to try that now. Just wondering how is touch screen support on desktop linux? Would some apps be unsupported out of box?
There are touch centric distros out there. Mobian is the first that comes to mind. Running something like Ubuntu touch would probably be ideal. Either way, something on the cheaper side like this to try Linux on in order to find out what does and doesn’t work is what I’m interested in.
That’s assuming the bootloader isn’t unlockable. Lenovo doesn’t have the best reputation for that.
I’m hoping they start changing their tune considering they are going to be a hardware vendor for GrapheneOS on their Motorola brand.
Lenovo is not usually good for making hardware that works well with common Linuxes
I dont know, lenovo seems to only support their stuff for two years before they end of life it.
Yeah Lenovo hardware is pretty solid but the software support is awful, given android updates come through the manufacturer I wouldn’t want to get another Lenovo Android tablet
four years of software support
Still not great, but not as terrible as 2 years support.
