A deadly fungus is spreading that can infect cats & people.
Because otherwise it’s difficult to interpret the way it was written. People is spreading??
Poor cat :(
Having only indoor cats kind of minimizes the risk for infection, I suppose?
It should, but it would depend on how it can spread. You might be able to track it into your house by walking through something outside and then wearing those shoes in the house. We have chickens and, since cats are vulnerable to highly pathogenic avian influenza (H5N1), I always take my shoes off in our mud-room were the cats are not allowed. I want to minimize the chance that my indoor cats might be exposed to it.
Two members of a family who moved from Brazil to the United Kingdom developed the disease three years after the move, health authorities reported in 2022.

oh hell no
I listened to a Radiolab show that said people’s body temperature has been dropping by about .05 F every decade and funguses can live in temperatures just below 98.6. If the trend continues we could have a big problem
That’s interesting. Why is body temp dropping?
This is what happens when fun Gus is no longer having fun.
