Bambu p1s

Pla. Its been dried in dehydrator for 4 hours at 55

Ironing is off (seemed to be the same with ironing on)

Ive tried turning the temp down to 210

There is a prime tower and purging is set to 1x

Flow rate is 0.96

Aux fan is off

Relatively new nozzle (less than a couple months old and I dont print that often)

I dont know what other info might be relevant

Its not the absolute top surface though, the black icons are raised higher and those look fine.

Really at a loss. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Is part of the print lifting from the bed during print? That happens sometimes and it would make the nozzle dig into the already printed layers on that side

    If your nozzle is extruding clean, unlevel bed like everyone is saying. Temps too high or low, cheap filament potentially, speed too high or low, work surface shifting under print movement. While I don’t have experience printing, I have laser experience and when I get poor results it is often on of those. These systems somewhat go hand in hand. Fans are a major aspect for quality. The higher the airflow with lasers for the most part the cleaner the burn and contaminate free bed.

    Absolutely looks like nozzle dragging over your layers. Bed uneven for some reason? Uneven heating? Plate not sitting flush? Nozzle loose?

      This is likely the culprit. Ive been using rubbing alcohol for a while on this bed

    Thanks all. I will look closely while its printing to see if anything is lifting. I do a bed level every print

    Others have said similar, but make sure the nozzle doesnt plunge into the work and the work doesnt ride up. Bed adhesion, leveling, ect.

    Looks like a bed-leveling issue to me? Maybe theres a high point and the nozzle is crashing into the print at that positon.

  • @dom You sure it’s just the top layer? That looks like rubbing that might occur when something’s warping off the bed or when the bed isn’t leveled. In those cases, it would likely be present in more than just the top layer.
