Buckethead - Pike 146 - Carrotcature [Rock/Funk Instrumental]

A twenty-nine-minute, eight-track pike that feels like a hundred sixteen-second track snippets. Heavy rock and heavy funk throughout, but with a micro-morphing effect that kicks in every sixteen seconds. It’s musical loss is made up for with a raw carnage, but is a bit frustrating when a great sound goes away.

A really enjoyable blast of unique and heavy sonics. Lot’s of fantastic sixteen-second moments here in a wide range and mixture ratio of sounds for varied results, all mostly hits but some not so much. It’s also noteworthy that this is some of the heaviest funk I’ve heard from Mr. Bucket. I would love to see some of these moments extended into full blown songs.
