It’s missing Fidel
And Ho Chi Minh, and Kaysone Phomvihane.
Also Salvador Allende
Yep, firmly over with Sankara and others taken far too soon 😔
The 9/11 we should actually remember.
Truly. RIP comrade Allende.
You either die a hero, or live long enough to be demonized by western capital, lol.
Troysky is a bit of an outlier on this scale, dur to the things he and the Trotskyist political parties did after he actively engaged in an armed struggle.
I’d switch Marx and Engels with Rosa and Sankara based purely on the historical ignorance of people knowing who they are.
Antonio Gramsci met a pretty tragic end. Jailed by the Mussolini regime in Italy for 11 years and eventually just withered away from illness. Died too young just like so many victims of fascism.
Managed to go on an absolute tear with the prison notebooks though, even under surveillance, and deliver excellent analysis of culture and hegemony.
Western media still hate him because his theory (if they remember him that is), one Italian fucker even wrote a book that Gramsci turned marxism into fascism and thus every modern marxist is a fascist. Funnily enough they seem to recognise importance of Gramsci theory more than ultras and dogmatists.
Gramsci is one of the most bafflingly misunderstood or misconstrued figures in the Marxist canon precisely due to the nature of the theory he wrote.
Where Fidel?
Realistically between Kim Il Sung and Che/Lenin, right where Ho Chi Minh would be.
