Yellow is just flat-out wrong. To grate something is to reduce it to small particles, and to plane something is to make it smooth and level. There may or may not be thin pieces of removed material when planing, but they are not the product nor the point of the process. (Except, in cooking, a microplane is a kind of grater that produces small particles.)
