The video is intense, you can see failed attempts at destroying the Sea Baby as it approaches.
Who or what is shooting at the drone? Is that tanker armed? Did it get air support? There’s some huge explosions around the drone.
There have been some other videos from fixed wing flying bombs hitting ships like this where you can see the likely source of this. Atop the bridge tower soldiers are positioned with light, medium and heavy machine guns. It is a very low tech solution and may if it had been implemented earlier in the war been effective as a complimentary part of a alyered air defense but it is extremely manpower ineffective for shipping…
It could be something else, possbily a helicopter but I doubt it, it was most likely panicked shipmates firing machine guns at a drone. Had those crewmates been trained on the use of those machine guns in an emergency? I wouldn’t bet money on it.
That first explosion was huge, then there was some smaller explosions which could have been high calibre rounds and then later on stuff that was definitely just gunfire. I’m wondering if the first explosion was an RPG.
I am speculating but I think that first explosion might have been another Ukrainian drone that was hit, it is hard to tell.
