Honestly, if that guy can knock out a drone with a rock from a sling like that, he’s an unbelievable badass and deserves respect.

I can’t imagine a sling is more effective than a gun
Much worse than a shotgun with bird shot, but when compared to a rifle or pistol, a sling is easier to learn, and also easier for a beginner to hit a slow moving target like a rabbit or bird.
Training will quickly reverse that, but training takes time and resources.
