There’s a full size E-ink screen, smaller color E-ink screen, and a full size dot matrix screen (that unfortunately requires external power)
I haven’t been this excited for my console to tell me the weather since the Wii.
Man I thought the Wii weather channel and stuff was so cool at the time.

So for the dot matrix, users are expected to keep a phone charger or something plugged in next to their Steam Machine? It uses more energy than can be provided by the Steam Machine’s USB ports?
I doubt they’d release it like that.
Yep, at least for right now that’s the deal. The Steam machine doesn’t use that much power, so I could imagine a solution that includes a new power cord that can power both at the same time.
