      Federal law states that you have to allow people to cancel their subscription the same way as they signed up. But some state’s decided that they would pass laws giving exception to gyms.

      Want to guess which party runs those States?

        It seems odd that a state can override a federal law.

        I mean when there’s a minimum or maximum, e.g. minimum age to get licensed to drive. A state could raise the minimum (or lower a maximum) to strengthen the federal law.

        But to weaken one? I suppose it’s subjective. Are they weakening consumer protection or strengthening corporate ‘freedom’?
