Otherkins are often being excluded and mocked, even on the internet. My brother gets angry at me when I mention being a fallen angel, my mom gave me a side stare, and the internet? Well… I don’t even wanna mention it.

I think that lemmy.blahaj.zone could work as an alternative if a therian based Lemmy instance isn’t yet a thing yet. They are incredibly good at banning gatekeeping trolls and fostering a safe and welcoming environment. They also currently have a Transspecies community there !transspecies@lemmy.blahaj.zone

Fair enough. I think transspecies is pretty open when to non-therian otherkins too. Of course otherkin communities tend to have a lot of therians but that doesn’t mean non-therian otherkins aren’t welcome.

I was thinking of a Tumblr or a Fediverse instance.
Tumblr has management problems that don’t make them a great choice for something like that. While as a platform they are very queer accepting they are known to have staff who are bigoted and have banned queer people for seemingly no reason. An otherkin fediverse instance would be better.
