I have a friend who went voluntarily homeless. You can’t really even do that anymore. You have to go some where shitty where theres lots of blm land, and then you lose out on resources you’d get from pan handling.
Hes charismatic and doesnt do drugs. Hes more a drinker and spends a lot of time at bars getting free drinks and food. He’s train jumped and went to a few communes and it sounds like constant work just to do basic shit like take a shit.
Like all this mall cop security shit gets fed into palantir and local law enforcement you can’t even sleep in a parking lot in your car anymore without getting a knock on your window. Its just hard to be homeless, and he tells me he tried one of those homeless assistant camps and he said it felt like a prison or a interment camp. They had barbwire to keep them IN lol. It doesnt sound too far off from that deep space nine episode about the bell riots. I think we are in the same year the Bell riots take place too ironically.
Before or after the tiny home van conversion fad? Also what is your population density like. Are you within the first or second ring of a major city in your state?
Are you in the united States or the east coast. Do your parking lots for most shopping malls and outlets have those little blue light cameras on a little trailer? Is there third party security vehicles doing patrols through the parking lots every hour?
Sure you can probably sleep on the side of the road and stuff or off where no one can notice you. But there was a time when Walmart of other stores encourages you to stay over night for your road trips or whatever. Now its something everyone looks out for. If you are on the west coast its common for homeless people to find a beaten up trailer for 500 bucks and park it some where and its a big ordeal to get them out. So anyone staying in a car overnight is basicially the same threat.
You could always be homeless
or just have family pay your bills for you.

That is not at all true. I’ve slept in plenty of parking lots. Its the same as it ever was - don’t go where you aren’t wanted.

Many people are these days. Many families with children. But only make line go up, no human compassion.
