Too bad its fake. Golf courses are a blight upon the landscape. Want to be in nature? Go to a park. Want to do a sport? Go to a sport place. Don’t say you need all this space because the ball goes really far, just hit the ball softer, like in putt putt.

I’ll give golf its few places where it’s acceptable: Scotland, steppes, and natural hills and meadows. But all the golf carts have to be demolished, and all enclosed golf courses must be abolished.
Agreed. I don’t necessarily think that no golf courses should exist at all anywhere, but they should be super fucking unusual and only exist in places that tend to support them better. But I have a bit of a different perspective because my dad plays at a lot of small, rural clubs with sand greens that scrape by. Still not great (and also shouldn’t exist), but knowing about places like that helps foster a different attitude towards the possibilities. Many, many years ago, I played a few times at a (now closed) 9-hole course that ran on the honour system. That’s… Not exactly pebble beach.
