Hey don’t get me wrong, if we could live in a world where all research could be paid for by those that don’t stand to gain from particular results, I’d be there! But yeah, it’s not this world.
In this case though, the more I hear about this (over what must have been at least the last 10 years) it just seems to get worse. I would not be surprised if this turns into one of those situations where it’s actually way worse than we know and the manufacturer knew all along.
Also mandatory publishing of all funded studies. The funders shouldn’t get to see early data and kill off the study if its not fitting their narrative.
