“The U.S. welcomes the decision by interim President Delcy Rodriguez and Venezuela to withdraw from the ICC,” it said in a post on US social media company X.

It also praised the new Venezuelan government’s cooperation with Washington’s efforts to “dismantle” the Hague-based court.

The agency accused the ICC of failing to produce results from its investigation into former Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro while directing resources toward countries with “competent, independent judicial systems” that had not accepted the court’s jurisdiction.

“This is blatant overreach, political bias and selective enforcement,” it said, describing the court as neither credible nor legitimate.

The agency said Maduro is facing justice before a US court for crimes he allegedly committed, crediting President Donald Trump and US service members.

The ICC is an international criminal court, based in The Hague, Netherlands. Trump gets f*ck all to say about “dismantling it.” He’s more worried about how the ICC will be used against HIM, once he’s no longer president.

Isn’t that because its practically the only court that’d ever actually find justice over these bastards?

Trump hates the ICC because its the only thing that could apply justice to him and his ilk now. Which is why the americans have been so eager to threaten bombing a fucking court.

        Absolute terrorist nation.

This in particular doesn’t seem very indicative since ICC was created as US bludgeon against designated enemy states and never went to accuse any of US or their vassals of any of the multitude of blatant crimes against humanity they commit. And the accusations against Netanyahu are not only a fig leaf blaming him personally for the genocidal settler project, but are also unenforcable basically.

If anything, this sudden US turning back from their tool is one of the trademark Trump gov temper tantrums caused by berserk zionism and general lack of contact with reality they are famed for.
