    Really, it was just voting? If that’s the case, that voting is that important, surely parties would then be forced to intervene in access to voting as a means to have better control over who votes. Good thing that doesn’t happen. And as we all know, online discourses have a greater effect on people’s decisions than systemic forces.

    God knows you weren’t even thinking about the systemic forces behind those online discourses and who they reach or appeal to.

    Edit: oh and look, it’s a German liberal who claims to understand US culture and politics without systemic analysis, how bold and new on Lemmy.
