When it comes to unsolicited opinions from strangers, there’s no point because I have no frame of reference (aka no reputation) to judge the quality of the opinion. If I invite an opinion, then that’s different.
Here, where we come together to share ideas, the opinions aren’t unsolicited. The OP posted something, which invites commentary. Commentary invites a discussion.
