The most surprising part of the headline is that Hugh Hefner reported sex trafficking.

He liked uhm young kind of like Leonardo DiCaprio. Not a full-blown pedo. The bunny’s generally had fairly respectable things to say about Hugh.

it’s telling that many of his enemies used homophobia against him.

          Was he gay?

Or like, people just said he was gay to make fun of him? One of the things that always rubbed me the wrong way, was the chauvinist/underlying American (sometimes straight up white nationalist) supremacy that were in the articles in playboys. I know I know you’re not supposed to read the articles just oggle the women yadda yadda, very funny, but there’s some weird shit in there. Like everyone acts like playboy has been so progressive letting women make money from sex appeal true freedom country (freedom to be sexualized at every turn) but it’s straight up a right wing magazine sometimes.

Also his infatuation with Marylin monroe was (is) creepy. The fact he chose to be buried next to her is also a choice he made for her posthumously that she did not consent to, PLUS she didn’t consent to being on the cover of playboy.

He had a specific preference to violate Marylin Monroe’s consent even after she was dead. Fuck that guy.

he was straight and gay friendly enough to let pro-gay articles be published in playboy during a time when homophobia was popular; but he still definitely problematic, as you pointed out.
