Also keep in mind that a large majority of the books were ghost written so that had something to do with how sometimes the books felt weird or off compared to the rest of the series that would be why.

But yeah there was an inordinate amount of detail about the transformations and then when it came time for some things it was extremely detail light.

Thinking about it now these were shelved in my libraries kids section, which now kind of horrifies me, but I’m sure I was reading them in grade school.
